New Community Alcohol Partnerships form in the UK

Community Alcohol Partnerships, in which public bodies, charities and private companies work together to reduce alcohol related harm in their local communities, continue to increase in the UK with new partnerships launched in Broadstairs, Barrow, Lancaster, North West and North East Edinburgh, Huthwaite and Ramsgate so far this year. It is anticipated that a total of 36 new CAPs will launch during 2017. The scheme has expanded into new areas of the UK such as Cumbria (Barrow in Furness), and in Lancashire in the Bulk Ward Area of Lancaster. Both CAPs were launched in January with community partners including local authorities, retailers, police and schools.
