Alcohol related offences in the UK

A request for information on alcohol related offences in the UK was made by Lord Roberts of Llandudno ‘to ask Her Majesty’s Government how many people in each police authority were convicted of alcohol and drug offences in each of the last four years; and what are those figures as a percentage of the population in each police authority area’. Between 2009 and 2013, the number of people found guilty at all courts of alcohol and drug offences in England and Wales have reduced in all but a couple of police authority areas. The figures for England and Wales combined fell from 62,054 in 2009 to 42,285 in 2013 and from 0.109% of population in 2009 to 0.074% of the population in 2013.
